ScanWorkX Server Requirements
Ensure your ScanWorkX deployment is smooth, secure, and optimized for performance. The specifications below guide typical environments. Actual requirements may vary based on transaction volumes, number of users, and integration scenarios.
Hardware Requirements

Minimum Specs
Recommended Specs
CPU
4 cores @ 2.0 GHz or higher
8 cores or higher for environments with 100+ concurrent users
Memory (RAM)
16 GB
32 GB (to support higher transaction volumes and multiple integration services)
Disk Storage
80 GB free space
100GB (for logs, backups, and system growth)

Networking Requirements

- Gigabit Ethernet recommended
- Stable internet access required for remote barcode devices and cloud-based integrations
- Low latency VPN required for distributed warehouses
- Standard port: HTTPS (443) You will need to provide an SSL certificate for IIS that meets your company’s SSL standards.

Supported Operating Systems

ScanWorkX Server supports both Microsoft Windows Server and modern virtualization environments:
- Windows Server 2022 or later (64-bit)
- Windows Server 2025 recommended
- Virtualized deployments supported (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure VMs, AWS EC2)

Additional Considerations
Scalability: Requirements increase with user count and transaction volume. Plan additional resources for 100+ devices.
High Availability: For critical warehouse operations, consider clustering or load balancing. If you have multiple locations, you might consider using multiple ScanWorkX servers.
Backups: Allocate disk space for nightly database and application backups.
Security: follow IT policies for firewalls and antivirus exclusions.
